Automotive Detailer / Car Washer

About the role

Enterprise Mobility is seeking responsible, dedicated people to join the team as full-time Automotive Detailers. This position pays $18 / hour (employees can earn yearly merit increases based on performance) and is located at 5954 Richmond Highway, Alexandria, VA 22303.

Enterprise Mobility is dedicated to upholding the highest cleanliness standards in the industry. As an Auto Detailer and Car Washer, you will lead the commitment to exceptional cleaning practices, exceeding standard protocols to ensure the health and safety of everyone.

You will be responsible for washing, cleaning, sanitizing, inspecting, and preparing a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and vans, ensuring they meet the cleanliness and safety standards for customer rentals.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interiors according to industry-standard protocols.
• Wash, clean, and dry vehicle exteriors. Vehicles may include cars of different sizes, as well as vans and trucks.
• Check fuel level and warning lights; inspect windshields for damage; factory reset/restore vehicle settings to clear prior customer data; check for customer items and place anything of value in Lost & Found; verify that registration is present, current, and matches the license plate.
• Check fluid levels and add as needed; check tire condition, pressure, and tread depth; inspect vehicle exteriors for damage.
• Fuel and stage vehicles.
• Inspect vehicles for any safety concerns; report any warning lights and/or vehicle, windshield, or tire damage; pull vehicles out of the prep processing as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and report any unsafe or hazardous conditions.
• Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines or air purifiers to eliminate stains, pet hair, and odors.
• Assist customers when needed. May transport customers to and from the branches.
• Help maintain overall site appearance, including general cleaning of the interiors and exteriors of branch locations. Site appearance responsibilities include desktops, countertops, phones, floors, trash, bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping the lot, and any other miscellaneous tasks related to the daily cleanliness of the branch location.

Additional responsibilities:

• Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training, and goal setting.
• Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have a satisfactory background check inclusive of driving (no more than 2 moving violations and/or at fault accidents in the past 3 years, and no DUI or DWI on driving record in the last 3 years) and social security.
• An under 25 minute commute (in rush hour traffic) from the location posted is preferred.
• Must have at least six (6) consecutive months of prior work/organizational experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by the company for this position now or in the future.
• Qualified applicants with criminal histories will be considered as required by, and consistent with, applicable law.

The available schedule is:

• Monday 7:30 am - 6:00 pm
• Tuesday 7:30 am - 6:00 pm
• Thursday 7:00 am - 12:30 pm
• Friday 7:30 am - 6:00 pm
• Saturday 8:00 am - 2:00 pm
