Automotive Detailer - Car Washer

About the role

Enterprise Mobility is seeking a responsible, dedicated person to join our team as a part-time Automotive Detailer. The starting rate of pay is $18.75 per hour based on a 25 hour work week. Employees can earn yearly merit increases based on performance. This position is located at 97 Route 17M Harriman, NY 10926.

Responsibilities

• Wash, clean, sanitize, inspect, and prepare a variety of vehicles including cars, trucks, and vans to meet high cleanliness and safety standards for customer rentals.
• Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interiors according to industry-standard protocols.
• Wash, clean and dry the vehicle's exterior.
• Check fuel level and warning lights; inspect windshield for damage; factory reset/restore vehicle settings to clear prior customer data.
• Check for customer items and place valuables in Lost & Found.
• Verify that registration is present, current and matches the license plate.
• Check and add fluid levels as needed; check tire condition, pressure and tread depth.
• Inspect vehicle exterior for damage.
• Fuel and stage vehicles.
• Inspect vehicles for safety concerns; report any warning lights or damage.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area; report unsafe or hazardous conditions.
• Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines or air purifiers to eliminate stains, pet hair, and odors.
• Assist customers when needed; may transport customers to and from branches.
• Help maintain overall site appearance including cleaning of interior and exterior branch locations.
• Site appearance tasks include desktops, countertops, phones, floors, trash, bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping the lot, and other daily cleanliness duties.
• Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training and goal setting.
• Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to operate a motor vehicle is essential.
• Valid, unrestricted US driver's license.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Must live within a reasonable commute of no more than 1 hour from the location.
• At least six (6) consecutive months of prior work or organizational experience.
• At least 18 years old.
