As an Automotive Detailer at CarMax, you'll play a vital role in delivering vehicles that exceed customer expectations. Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cosmetic inspections to identify detailing needs and ensure vehicles meet CarMax quality standards
• Repair and replace small components, ensuring functionality and visual appeal
• Execute paint retouching, post-paint finishing, waxing, and buffing to CarMax quality standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following CarMax protocols
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deliver exceptional customer satisfaction
• Follow CarMax Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements and maintain a clean and orderly work area

Requirements

• Strong manual dexterity and physical stamina to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate vehicles safely

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in automotive detailing tasks such as washing, waxing, buffing, masking, sanding, and minor paint applications
• Familiarity with replacing small parts and performing minor cosmetic repairs

Compensation

• Hourly rate: $12.00 - $18.00
• Eligible for commissions
• Paid sick leave up to 48 hours per year (for full-time hourly or commissioned associates)
• Vacation time between 80 and 200 hours per year after a 90-day waiting period depending on years of continuous service
• 6 paid scheduled holidays plus 1 floating holiday per year; eligibility for Holiday Premium Pay if working on scheduled holidays
