Automotive Parts Advisor

About the role

Lexus El Cajon is looking for a professional and outgoing Parts Advisor to join us in supporting our dealership staff and customers while assisting us in building and representing the brand. In this role, you will fulfill requests for parts and accessories from both technicians and the retail parts counter. Responsibilities

• Assist all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
• Pull and fill orders from stock.
• Make sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair orders.
• Inform customers of companion part requirements and specials, and ensure that customers are exposed to the full product line.
• Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
• Notify the parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
• Locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submit an emergency order, if necessary.
• Notify all necessary parties when special-ordered parts have been received.
• Pull orders for delivery, making sure all parts are tagged with customer names and job numbers.
• Follow up on back-ordered parts and replenish assigned inventory daily.
• Verify will-call and back-order files weekly and return items to vendors, or stock those items not picked up or required.
• Assist sales representatives with their orders.
• Receive payment from retail customers or obtain credit authorization.
• Ensure that all charge sales are signed by the customer and that all customers receive their copy of the invoice.

Requirements

• Must have 1 - 2 years Parts Experience.
• High level of professionalism.
• Excellent oral, written and positive interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong customer service.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Computer literacy (Internet, MS Office).
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Call center experience is a plus, but not necessary.
• Valid Driver's License.
• CDK experience Preferred.

Compensation: Average annual compensation ranges from $60,000 to $85,000 per year!
