Automotive Sales Consultant

About the role

Parks Chevrolet and GMC in Kernersville are hiring Sales Consultants now to help meet huge customer demand. This is an entry-level position to start your career. Chevrolet and GMC stores have 1,300 used vehicles and 1,000 new vehicles to sell. Top sellers earn up to $16,000 per month. The work week is 40 hours.

The sales floor is not crowded, with plenty of ups and opportunity. There is lots of foot traffic. People come from all over the region to shop with Parks Automotive Group and have a great experience. Come join the family. The posting describes its commission plan as the best in the industry.

Sales experience in any industry is preferred but not required. Previous auto sales experience is not required. Sales experience in another industry is a plus. Great salespeople have come from different backgrounds, including industrial or manufacturing sales, retail sales, cellular sales, insurance sales, bartending, or rental car associates, to name a few. Responsibilities

• Greet customers and make them feel at home in person, by phone, or on the website chat.
• Assist customers in selecting the right vehicle from the inventory to suit their needs. Good communication and listening skills are key.
• Consult with the Sales Manager to set and achieve monthly goals for personal growth and success.
• Accompany customers on test drives when needed.
• Follow up with customers after the sale to encourage networking and repeat business.
• Learn techniques for closing the sale; training will be provided.
• Complete all sales documentation for tag, title, financing, etc., efficiently and in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Outgoing and vivacious personality, and an A-1 people person.
• A high degree of good customer service and people skills are required.
• Sales experience in other industries is a plus.
• Training will be provided; no dealership experience is required.
• Ambition and drive to succeed, and a good track record.
• Strong work ethic and ability to learn.
• Ability to set and achieve goals.
• Professional, well-groomed personal appearance.
• Valid driver's license, insurance, clean background, and driving record.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
