Design Engineer – Automotive Parts Manufacturer

About the role

An automotive components manufacturer near the New Lebanon, OH area is looking for a Design Engineer. You will work with the project manager on design planning and overall production support. The ideal candidate will have previous 2D/3D CAD experience, preferably CATIA.

Responsibilities

• Work with the project manager on design specifications and product development
• Design review schedule and report
• Develop and release Engineering Change Notices
• Participate in customer meetings to determine design needs
• Test analysis and APQP support

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering OR equivalent experience
• 2D/3D CAD experience (CATIA preferred)
• Automotive “Plastic Injection” Part Design experience is a big plus
• Knowledge of automotive interior plastics and plastic injection molds is a big plus
• Experience with assembly drawings (read and understand)
• Able to intermittently sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, and crouch
• This is a full-time position
