Design Engineer – Automotive Parts

About the role

An automotive components manufacturer near the New Lebanon, OH area is looking for a Design Engineer. You will work with the project manager on design planning & overall production support. The ideal candidate will have previous 2D/3D CAD experience (preferably CATIA).

In addition to salary – you will be paid straight overtime for any time worked past 40 hours.

Responsibilities

• Work with the project manager on design specifications and product development
• Design review schedule & report
• Engineering Change Notices (develop & release)
• Participate in customer meetings to determine design needs
• Test analysis & APQP support

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering OR equivalent experience
• 2D/3D CAD experience (CATIA preferred)
• Automotive "Plastic Injection" Part Design experience is a big plus
• Knowledge of automotive interior plastics & plastic injection molds is a big plus
• Experience with assembly drawings (read & understand)
• Able to intermittently sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, & crouch
