Seasonal Automotive Detailer / Car Washer

About the role

Enterprise Mobility is seeking a responsible, dedicated person to join its team as a Seasonal Automotive Detailer. This position pays $15 / hour and is located at 806 Opelika Road Auburn, AL 36830.

This is a seasonal position and cannot exceed 180 days of service. The season starts July 1, 2026 and will end on or before December 1, 2026.

A minimum of 5 days / week (Full Time- 40 hours) or a minimum of 3 days / week (Part Time- 25 hours) and weekends are required for this position. The recruiter will discuss available schedules.

You will be responsible for washing, cleaning, sanitizing, inspecting, and preparing a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and vans, ensuring they meet the company’s cleanliness and safety standards for customer rentals.

Responsibilities

The role has immediate openings. Responsibilities include:

• Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interiors according to industry-standard protocols.
• Wash, clean, and dry vehicle exteriors. This might include cars of different sizes, as well as vans and trucks.
• Check fuel levels and warning lights; inspect windshields for damage; factory reset/restore vehicle settings to clear prior customer data; check for customer items and place anything of value in Lost & Found; verify that registration is present, current, and matches the license plate.
• Check fluid levels and add as needed; check tire condition, pressure, and tread depth; inspect vehicle exteriors for damage.
• Fuel and stage vehicles.
• Inspect vehicles for any safety concerns; report any warning lights and/or vehicle, windshield, or tire damage; pull vehicles out of the prep processing as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and report any unsafe or hazardous conditions.
• Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines or air purifiers to eliminate stains, pet hair, and odors.
• Assist customers when needed. May transport customers to and from the branches.
• Help maintain overall site appearance, including general cleaning of interior and exterior areas of branch locations. Site appearance responsibilities include desktops, countertops, phones, floors, trash, bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping the lot, and any other miscellaneous tasks related to the daily cleanliness of the branch location.

Additional responsibilities:

• Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training, and goal setting.
• Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license with no more than two moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on the driving record in the past three years. Candidates with more than 1 excessive speeding violation (defined as 26 or more miles per hour over the posted speed limit) on their driving record within the last 3 years will be disqualified from consideration.
• No drug or alcohol related conviction on the driving record in the past five years.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by the company for this position now or in the future.
• Must be living within a reasonable commute of no more than 30 minutes from this location.
• Seasonal employees may work up to 180 days during a defined season. They must experience a 3 month break in service at the end of the season prior to working again as a seasonal or regular employee.
