About the role
Pep Boys / Mavis Tire is looking for experienced, full-time Automotive Assistant Managers and Service Managers to join its automotive service, repair, and tire sales centers in the Manchester, CT area.
Responsibilities
Assistant Manager Position
- Support the Store Manager with daily store operations.
- Develop skills to become a future Mavis leader.
- Support efficient, safe, and effective store operations.
- Schedule and coordinate Mechanics and Technicians.
- Manage outside orders and service workflow.
- Ensure quality and timely completion of customer vehicles.
- Help enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Support the team in delivering an excellent customer experience.
Service Manager Position
- Combine automotive knowledge, customer service, and sales skills.
- Assist customers with tire selections and automotive service needs.
- Recommend necessary undercar repairs and maintenance.
- Coordinate workflow of Mechanics and Technicians.
- Stage and monitor vehicle repair and maintenance work.
- Communicate repair recommendations and services clearly to customers.
- Support sales initiatives while delivering excellent customer service.
- Ensure repairs and services are completed accurately and on time.

Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- At least 1 year of experience and/or training in automotive parts or tire sales, automotive repair and maintenance, or equivalent education, training, and experience
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
