Pep Boys is now part of the Mavis Tire family and is growing its team. They are seeking experienced, full-time Automotive Assistant Managers and Service Managers to join at automotive service, repair, and tire sales centers in the Caldwell, NJ area.
About the role
Assistant Manager Position
- Support Store Manager with day-to-day store operations
- Develop skills to become a future Mavis leader
Service Manager Position
- Combine automotive knowledge, customer service, and sales skills
- Help customers make informed vehicle decisions
- Keep service operation efficient
Responsibilities
Assistant Manager
- Support efficient, safe, and effective store operations
- Schedule and coordinate Mechanics and Technicians
- Manage outside orders and service workflow
- Ensure quality and timely completion of customer vehicles
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Support excellent customer service delivery
Service Manager
- Assist customers with tire selections and automotive service needs
- Recommend undercar repairs and maintenance
- Coordinate Mechanics and Technicians workflow
- Stage and monitor vehicle repair and maintenance work
- Communicate repair recommendations and services clearly to customers
- Support sales initiatives
- Ensure repairs and services are completed accurately and on time

Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Minimum 1 year of experience and/or training in automotive parts or tire sales, automotive repair and maintenance, or equivalent education/training
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
