Pep Boys is now part of the Mavis Tire family, expanding its team in the East Brunswick, NJ area.
About the role
We are looking for experienced, full-time Automotive Assistant Managers and Service Managers.
Assistant Manager Position
As an Assistant Manager, you will support the Store Manager in daily operations and develop leadership skills.
Service Manager Position
As a Service Manager, you will use automotive knowledge, customer service, and sales skills to assist customers and maintain efficient service operations.
Responsibilities
Assistant Manager
- Support efficient, safe, and effective store operations
- Schedule and coordinate Mechanics and Technicians
- Manage outside orders and service workflow
- Ensure quality and timely completion of customer vehicles
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Support the team in delivering excellent customer experience
Service Manager
- Assist customers with tire selections and automotive service needs
- Recommend necessary undercar repairs and maintenance
- Coordinate Mechanics and Technicians workflow
- Stage and monitor vehicle repair and maintenance work
- Communicate repair recommendations and services to customers
- Support sales initiatives while delivering excellent customer service
- Ensure repairs and services are completed accurately and on time

Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Minimum 1 year experience and/or training in automotive parts or tire sales, automotive repair and maintenance, or equivalent education/training
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
