Job Description
Pep Boys is now part of the Mavis Tire family and is growing its team. They seek experienced, full-time Automotive Assistant Managers and Service Managers to join Team Mavis at their automotive service, repair, and tire sales centers in Southington, CT.
About the role
Assistant Manager Position: Support the Store Manager with day-to-day store operations while developing leadership skills.
Service Manager Position: Combine automotive knowledge, customer service, and sales skills to assist customers and ensure efficient service operations.
Responsibilities
Assistant Manager:
- Support efficient, safe, and effective store operations
- Schedule and coordinate mechanics and technicians
- Manage outside orders and service workflow
- Ensure quality and timely completion of customer vehicles
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Support the team in delivering excellent customer experience
Service Manager:
- Assist customers with tire selections and automotive service needs
- Recommend necessary undercar repairs and maintenance
- Coordinate workflow of mechanics and technicians
- Stage and monitor vehicle repair and maintenance work
- Communicate repair recommendations and services clearly to customers
- Support sales initiatives while delivering excellent customer service
- Ensure repairs and services are completed accurately and on time

Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- At least 1 year of experience and/or training in automotive parts/tire sales, automotive repair and maintenance, or equivalent education/training/experience
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
