Automotive Assistant & Service Managers

Pep Boys, now part of the Mavis Tire family, is growing the team at their automotive service, repair, and tire sales centers in Hamburg, NY.

About the role

We are seeking experienced, full-time Automotive Assistant Managers and Service Managers. As part of the Mavis family, you will join the nation's largest automotive service organization with over 4,000 locations.

Assistant Manager Position

Support the Store Manager with daily operations while developing leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Support efficient, safe, and effective store operations
• Schedule and coordinate Mechanics and Technicians
• Manage outside orders and service workflow
• Ensure quality and timely completion of customer vehicles
• Help enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Support the team in delivering an excellent customer experience

Service Manager Position

Combine automotive knowledge, customer service, and sales skills to aid customers and manage service operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with tire selections and automotive service needs
• Recommend necessary undercar repairs and maintenance
• Coordinate workflow of Mechanics and Technicians
• Stage and monitor vehicle repair and maintenance work
• Communicate repair recommendations and services clearly to customers
• Support sales initiatives while delivering excellent customer service
• Ensure repairs and services are completed accurately and on time

NYS Licensed Inspector Bonus

• Automotive Assistant Managers and Service Managers holding a valid New York State Inspector License may be eligible for a one-time $250 Licensed Inspector Bonus
• Mavis supports eligible employees in obtaining their license by covering costs of required training, testing, and licensing fees, subject to company policy

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• At least 1 year experience and/or training in automotive parts or tire sales, automotive repair, maintenance, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
