Automotive Detailer – Body Shop

About the role

Piazza Honda of Reading is looking to hire an experienced Detailer to join its team of professionals in its high-volume service center. Experience is preferred, but the company is willing to train motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented individuals.

Responsibilities

• Clean new and used vehicles by washing the exterior using cleaning solution, water, cloths, and brushes.
• Apply wax to auto body and buff to protect the surface and preserve shine.
• Vacuum vehicle interiors to remove loose dirt and debris.
• Clean upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces using cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices.
• Apply revitalizers and preservatives to vinyl or leather surfaces; treat fabrics with spot- and stain-resistant chemicals to preserve and protect them.
• Apply special-purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials that do not respond to normal cleaning procedures.
• Apply paint to chipped body surfaces of vehicles using a container of touch-up paint.

Requirements

• Experience is preferred; motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented individuals may be trained.
• Self-motivated, a team player, dependable and reliable.
• Customer service skills and a service excellence attitude.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to operate an automobile safely.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission is preferred.
• A valid state driver's license and ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check are required for employment.
