Automotive Repair Store Manager

About the role

Plaza Tire Service, part of the Sun Auto Network, is looking for a Store Manager for their automotive service and tire location in Columbia, Missouri. This is a full-time position with a pay range of $80,000 - $160,000 per year, including salary and bonus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team to deliver a professional, customer-first experience.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, train, coach, and develop team members to drive performance and retention.
• Set clear expectations and maintain a positive, inclusive, safety-focused environment.
• Analyze store metrics and execute action plans to meet or exceed targets such as sales, car count, average repair order, gross profit, labor, productivity, conversion, and controllable expenses.
• Own store-level P&L by driving revenue growth, labor efficiency, cost control, and inventory discipline.
• Manage parts and tire inventory, including receiving, invoicing, returns, core returns, and warranty tracking.
• Resolve escalated customer concerns professionally, partnering with District leadership and Customer Care.
• Serve as primary contact for vendors, facilities, and equipment needs.
• Maintain store cleanliness, safety, organization, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Work a flexible schedule including opening/closing shifts, weekends, and occasional holidays.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in automotive service, tire, retail, or store management with sales, operations, and leadership success.
• Ability to motivate and lead high-performing teams in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
• Experience managing store performance, KPIs, budgets, labor, inventory, or P&L results.
• Strong customer service, sales, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, accountable, with good judgment in a process-driven environment.
• Comfortable using POS systems, computer tools, and performance data.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and successful Motor Vehicle Records check.
• Available to work flexible schedules including Saturdays, opening/closing shifts, and occasional holidays.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Preferred:

• Automotive service, tire, or mechanical experience.
