AutoShop Recruiting is partnering with Bartels Auto Clinic to hire an experienced Automotive Service Advisor / Writer for its Bartels-owned and operated Oswego location.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and manage the service experience from check-in through vehicle delivery.
• Write and manage repair orders, present recommendations, and provide accurate estimates.
• Build strong customer relationships through transparency, communication, and follow-through.
• Work closely with technicians to keep workflow efficient and repairs moving on schedule.
• Track approvals, follow up consistently, and help hit daily and monthly sales goals.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction while driving strong ARO and overall shop performance.
• Keep the front counter organized, professional, and running smoothly.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as an Automotive Service Advisor, Service Writer, or similar front-counter role.
• Strong sales ability with a customer-first approach.
• The ability to explain repairs clearly, earn customer trust, and ask for the approval.
• Solid understanding of automotive systems across domestic and import vehicles.
• Experience with shop management systems such as Tekmetric, RO Writer, Mitchell, Shop-Ware, or similar platforms.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Team-oriented, dependable, organized, and motivated to earn.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
