About the role

The Service Advisor is the face of the dealership for service customers. This role involves presenting and selling needed products and/or services to customers professionally, adhering to the manufacturer's maintenance schedule and requirements. The Service Advisor builds rapport with customers to promote satisfaction and retention.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a timely, friendly manner and obtain pertinent vehicle information
• Actively promote and build rapport with customers
• Advise customers on vehicle care and maintenance according to manufacturers' specifications
• Generate and provide customers with complete and accurate repair estimates
• Establish and communicate repair completion times with customers and technicians
• Answer incoming service calls
• Maintain and schedule service appointments
• Follow prescribed procedures for customer post follow-up to increase return visits and sales
• Adhere strictly to manufacturer's warranty guidelines and procedures
• Conduct business honestly to maintain or exceed specified Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) goals
• Comply with all relevant laws and company policies regarding safeguarding customer, company, manufacturer information, and customers' vehicle and property
• Manage work in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision

Requirements

• Previous automotive Service Advisor experience heavily preferred
• Minimum eighteen years of age
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening (background & drug test)
• Great customer service, phone, and computer skills

Benefits

Compensation: $80,000-$110,000+ (base salary plus bonus structure determined by pay plan; final pay depends on experience, education, and other factors)
