Automotive Service Advisor / Writer — Forney

About the role

As an Automotive Service Advisor / Writer with Christian Brothers Automotive, you are the person guests look to when they need help with their vehicles. Guests see you every time they make an investment in their vehicle, so you play a large role in building relationships with them. Service Advisors are responsible for guiding guests through the entire repair process, keeping them informed about the status of their vehicle and ensuring their satisfaction before they leave the facility.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Greet every guest who enters the facility with hospitality and respect.
• Present the best solution to properly repair a guest's vehicle in a way that is easy for them to understand.
• Manage the store's workflow effectively and efficiently.
• Consistently and effectively sell services without jeopardizing honesty and integrity.
• Maintain a positive attitude and team atmosphere at all times.
• Communicate on the phone in a clear, professional manner.
• Complete accurate, thorough documentation as a required part of the workflow to ensure transparency, accountability and high-quality service.
• Build long-term relationships between the store, yourself and the guest.
• Direct, coordinate and participate in performing guest service activities.
• Shuttle guests as needed in a CBA-branded vehicle.
• Ensure that all repairs are performed to proper specifications.
• Work together as a team and assist other employees as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Current driver's license.
• Driving record acceptable to the current insurance carrier.
• Proficiency in Windows-based computer software and automotive store applications.
• Previous experience in an Automotive Service Writer/Advisor/Sales role is REQUIRED.
• Be dependable and reliable for a position scheduled Monday – Friday, 7am – 6pm.
• Be on your feet for the majority of the workday (standing, walking, coordinating parts, etc.).
• Occasionally lift and carry objects over 50 lbs.
• Keep a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment.
