Automotive Assistant Manager and Service Manager

Pep Boys is now part of the Mavis Tire family, and the team is growing. Mavis is looking for experienced, full-time Automotive Assistant Managers and Service Managers to join Team Mavis at its automotive service, repair, and tire sales centers in the Berlin, NJ area.

As an Assistant Manager, you will support the Store Manager with the day-to-day operations of the location while developing the skills needed to become a future Mavis leader.

As a Service Manager, you will combine automotive knowledge, customer service, and sales skills to help customers make informed decisions about their vehicles while keeping the service operation running efficiently.

Responsibilities

Assistant Manager

• Support efficient, safe, and effective store operations.
• Schedule and coordinate Mechanics and Technicians.
• Manage outside orders and service workflow.
• Ensure quality and timely completion of customer vehicles.
• Help enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Support the team in delivering an excellent customer experience.

Service Manager

• Assist customers with tire selections and automotive service needs.
• Recommend necessary undercar repairs and maintenance.
• Coordinate the workflow of Mechanics and Technicians.
• Stage and monitor vehicle repair and maintenance work.
• Communicate repair recommendations and services clearly to customers.
• Support sales initiatives while delivering excellent customer service.
• Ensure repairs and services are completed accurately and on time.

Requirements

To be eligible for an Automotive Assistant Manager or Service Manager position, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Have at least 1 year of experience and/or training in automotive parts or tire sales, automotive repair and maintenance, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Have strong customer service and communication skills.
• Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
