Automotive Assistant & Service Managers

Pep Boys, now part of the Mavis Tire family, is growing its team and seeking experienced, full-time Automotive Assistant Managers and Service Managers in the Trenton, NJ area at automotive service, repair, and tire sales centers.

About the role

Assistant Manager Position

As an Assistant Manager, you'll support the Store Manager with daily store operations and develop leadership skills for future Mavis roles.

Service Manager Position

As a Service Manager, you'll combine automotive expertise, customer service, and sales abilities to assist customers in decisions about their vehicles while managing efficient service operations.

Responsibilities

Assistant Manager Responsibilities

• Support efficient, safe, and effective store operations
• Schedule and coordinate Mechanics and Technicians
• Manage outside orders and service workflow
• Ensure quality and timely completion of customer vehicles
• Help enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Support the team in delivering excellent customer experience

Service Manager Responsibilities

• Assist customers with tire selections and automotive service needs
• Recommend necessary undercarriage repairs and maintenance
• Coordinate workflow of Mechanics and Technicians
• Stage and monitor vehicle repair and maintenance work
• Communicate repair recommendations and services clearly to customers
• Support sales initiatives while delivering excellent customer service
• Ensure repairs and services are completed accurately and on time

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Minimum 1 year experience and/or training in automotive parts or tire sales, automotive repair and maintenance, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
